A PLAY park with DJ booths, a sound system, dancefloor and video game station is preparing to open.
The new play area in Erskine, Renfrewshire has been dubbed by designers as the “most innovative in Scotland” and will open on May 26.
Unusual features such as the DJ decks will accompany a zip wire, seating areas, a shelter and outdoor gym equipment.
The park, funded through Renfrewshire council’s parks fund was hailed as a “fantastic addition” to the town by councillor Michelle Campbell, who added: “I can see it being hugely popular with young people from across Renfrewshire and beyond.”
Beth, the vice-chair of Erskine Youth Council, who helped plan the project, said: “I’m so excited that the play park is about to open as it’s a project we’ve worked long and hard to achieve, so we are excited to see it finally coming together.”
