Coronation Street star Ruxandra Porojnicu has been rushed to hospital after an accident left her needing medical treatment.
The 29-year-old who portrayed Alina Pop in the long-running ITV soap revealed she was in hospital after a “clumsy” accident.
Posting on her Instagram story she said: "I'm many things but clumsy too - which is hilarious but also painful."
The Romanian actress quit Coronation Street earlier this year announcing the news on social media.
She said: "And that’s a wrap on Corrie! Thanks to everyone who encouraged and supported me. It meant so much. I worked with some of the finest people, who are not only extremely talented but very humble and caring.
"They made me feel welcome and a part of this beautiful family. TA EVERYONE! People up north are well nice!"
The actress was recently cast in new comedy film Sumotherhood directed by Kidulthood star Adam Deacon.
Deacon, describing the film to Hollywood Reporter said: "This film is going to be an explosion of fun with action and comedy at every turn, while also hitting some serious subject matters with raw emotion and harsh reality."
