Janey Godley admitted she sometimes ‘wants to cry’ after being taunted over her cancer hair loss.
The brave 62-year-old took to social media to call out cruel behaviour after being targeted online.
The Glasgow funny woman has been brutally honest about her battle with terminal ovarian cancer since being diagnosed in November 2021.
We previously reported how she has been repeatedly forced to defend herself after being accused of lying about her illness.
Now she has hit out again after one Twitter user said: “She should shave her head again even though it wasn’t required. Play sympathy with major C.”
Janey responded by Tweeting to her 290k followers: “Sometimes… just sometimes this kind of s**t makes me want to cry, I was told to shave my head as hair was falling out all over the house.
“But what if I meet this woman in the street? Would she say this to me? Would she? Do people really see cancer patients with such distain?”
Followers were quick to rally round Janey to send messages of kindness and support.
One person said: “I wish I'd shaved my head 21 years ago, Janey.
“I can still 'feel' the strands between my fingers when I was showering.
“Hope people never have to go through it. Even people like the sick Debs, who must lead a very sorry life to be so awful. Hope you're OK.”
A second person said: “Good God. I can’t believe how sick they are. Worth a million of them Janey.”
A third person said: “Only really, really sad and nasty people.
“It’s a clear identifier of those to be avoided at all costs, actually. All the very best to you, wonderful woman.”
A fourth person said: “No Janey, I am sure they/we don't. Some people just come on here to be unpleasant. Maybe they think they are trying to be clever or funny.
“But you are the clever, funny one with the courage and empathy that makes so many folk love you. Take care x”
