A LOCAL stylist has been shortlisted for Scottish Hairdresser of the Year.
David Corbett, of David Corbett Hairdressing in Bothwell, has been shortlisted for the title at HJ's British Hairdressing Awards, sponsored by Schwarzkopf Professional.
The annual awards celebrate the outstanding creative and technical skills of stylists from across the UK, and feature 10 regional categories as well as nine specialist categories.

Judged anonymously by more than 100 leading hairdressers, winners are et to be announced during a ceremony on Monday, November 27 at the JW Marriott Grosvenor House London.
David is one of just six finalists who were shortlisted after submitting four photos demonstrating their hairdressing expertise, including both technical and creative abilities.
He said: "It’s a dream come true to make the finals.
"Our industry is full of such talented creatives, so to be shortlisted alongside names I admire so much feels very special.
"I’m incredibly proud of my collection and hope the judges will see the passion and time that has gone into creating it."

Schwarzkopf Professional has been the sole sponsor of the event since its launch in 1985.
