NO fines were dished out across East Renfrewshire last year for dog fouling offences.
It comes after information, requested through the Freedom of Information Act, revealed that the local authority did not hand out any fixed penalty notices to pooch owners for leaving their dog's waste behind.
As part of the request, which was submitted by the Glasgow Times, the council claim no one from January 1, 2022 until December 31, 2022, was fined for the offence across all council wards in the area.
Due to this, the local authority would have made no cash from dog fouling offences.
The FOI response read: "No fixed penalty notices were issued for dog fouling during this period."
A request for 2023 figures has been submitted to the local authority.
