A GROUP of thieves forced their way into a premises in East Kilbride and stole boxes of Botox and weight loss solution.

Officers said they received a report of a break-in at a business in Cairn Court at around 7am on Monday (April 29).

It is believed entry was forced into the building between Sunday evening and Monday morning.

So far, enquiries have established that a group of five figures, all dressed in black were seen at this location.

A White Ford Transit long-wheel-based van was also spotted.

The suspects stole boxes of Botox and boxes of diabetic weight loss solution, known as Wegovy.

This has prompted an urgent warning.

Officers say that misuse of this solution could cause serious, adverse health risks.

They are asking anyone who finds it or is offered it for sale to contact them immediately.

Detective Inspector Scott Robertson said: “I would appeal to anyone who has doorbell or dash cam recording equipment to check their footage.

“It’s possible it has picked up the van when it’s been leaving the location or driving in the surrounding area.

“I would also ask motorists who were in and around the location to check for any images which could assist in our ongoing inquiries.”
