A Renfrewshire hospice is raising a toast to one of its partners after receiving a £10,000 donation.

ACCORD Hospice received the five-figure sum from Renfrewshire Sports Charity, the group behind Paisley gym Pro-Life Fitness Centre, as their partnership continues to grow.

With this latest donation, the charity has given a total of £62,500 to ACCORD since 2016/17.

Glasgow Times: David McFadden, ACCORD’s fundraising and communications manager, said: “We’re thrilled to share the incredible impact of our long-standing partnership with the Renfrewshire Sports Charity. Their unwavering commitment to our patients and their families has truly been a beacon of compassion and generosity.

“From the very beginning of our collaboration, Renfrewshire Sport Charity has shown an incredible dedication to our cause, embodying the true spirit of community. Their most recent donation marks yet another significant milestone in our joint mission to offer comfort and support to those facing life-limiting illnesses in our community.

“The charity's contributions to the work ACCORD does goes far beyond money, though. Their involvement has brought immeasurable joy, hope, and a sense of belonging to the hospice. Whether it’s funding essential medical equipment for patients or organising uplifting activities to support fun and togetherness, they have helped ACCORD to allow people to live the best they can up until the end of life.

“We’re deeply grateful for the ongoing support. Their generosity has allowed us to expand our reach, touching more lives in our community and creating meaningful moments for our patients, offering dignity, comfort, and companionship in their final journey.

“Our partnership is a testament to the transformative power of collaboration. Together, we’ve formed lasting connections and empowered individuals to embrace life’s challenges with courage and resilience.”
