The M80 is set to be closed for two days next week.
Resurfacing works will be taking place on Thursday, 23 and Friday, 24 of February at a section prior to the Junction 9 off-slip.
The works will take place between 7.30pm and 6am, with diversions will be in place.
The diversion route will be signposted between M80 Junction 8 and Junction 9 Pirnhall via the M876 and the M9, adding 10 miles to affected journeys.
Tommy Deans, BEAR Scotland’s South East network manager, said: "These surfacing improvements will improve drive quality and safety for motorists using this section of the M80.
"A road closure is essential for safety, however we’ve planned the works to take place overnight to minimise disruption. We thank motorists in advance for their patience."
Access for emergency vehicles will be maintained at all times.
