A man is due in court following a 'robbery' at a convenience store.
The alleged incident occurred at around 4.40pm on Sunday afternoon at a store in Burnbank Centre in the Hamilton area.
Reports on social media claim that detectives were seen at the shop taking photos as part of an investigation.
The force confirmed an arrest was made in connection to the alleged incident.
A 30-year-old man will appear in Hamilton Sheriff Court today.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We were made aware of a robbery at a shop at Burnbank Centre in Hamilton around 4.40pm on Sunday, October 22.
“No one was injured.
“A 30-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with the incident. He is due to appear at Hamilton Sheriff Court on Monday, October 23.”
