A MAN has appeared in court following an alleged hit and run in Glasgow on Hogmanay.
We previously reported that 999 crews raced to Cardonald's Mosspark Drive between Arbroath Avenue and Tealing Avenue, at around 8pm on Sunday, December 31 after receiving a report of the crash.
During the incident, a 69-year-old woman was hit by a motorbike.
Following that, on Wednesday, January, 17, officers revealed they had arrested a man in connection with the collision following a search at a property in the Mosspark area.
Liam Kerr, appeared at Glasgow's Sheriff Court charged in connection with the incident yesterday.
The 31-year-old has been charged with reset and several road traffic offences including causing serious injury by dangerous driving, driving while disqualified, failing to provide details after an accident, and driving without insurance.
During his appearance, the Glasgow man made no plea, however, he has been remanded in custody and will appear again in the next eight days.
Following the crash, the woman was rushed to hospital where staff described her condition as serious but stable.
