COPS have raced to a busy railway station near Glasgow following reports of a 'trespasser' on the line.
Officers say they were alerted to Hillfoot station in Bearsden shortly after 4pm on Friday, January 26.
Following a search of the area, the British Transport Police said there was no trace of anyone.
However, they have revealed an investigation into the incident is ongoing.
We previously reported that ScotRail said 999 crews were dealing with an 'incident' near the station.
Passengers were advised that rail services from the station could of been cancelled, revised, or delayed.
However, they have since confirmed services are now returning to normal.
A spokesperson for the British Transport Police said: "Officers were called to Hillfoot railway station just after 4pm today (Friday, January 26), to reports of a trespasser on the line.
"Officers conducted a search of the area however there was no trace.
"Enquiries are ongoing."
