Police and ambulance crews were spotted on a busy street following an emergency incident last night.
Officers say they were called to East Avenue in Blantyre shortly after 11pm on Wednesday, March 6, after a smash between a car and a parked motor.
Following the crash, a man was rushed to hospital for treatment.
However, after being taken to hospital, cops revealed the man was subsequently arrested in connection with alleged road traffic offences.
It is understood he was released from the hospital in the early hours of this morning.
During the accident, locals reported that mercy crews, including police and ambulance, were 'seen' in the area.
A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: “Officers were called to East Avenue, Blantyre, shortly after 11pm on Wednesday, March 6, following a crash involving a car and parked vehicle.
“A man was taken to hospital for treatment and subsequently arrested in connection with road traffic offences.”
The Scottish Ambulance Service has been contacted for comment.
