A GLASGOW restaurant revealed it had its "last day" at the weekend - but the team plans to rebrand and reopen soon.

West End eatery BRU is no longer trading as of Sunday, April 7.

We previously reported that the Dumbarton Road spot was opened by Bradley Potterton in January last year as his first solo venture specialising in South African cuisine.

But with a growing family in the mix, he decided to put the restaurant up for sale and say goodbye to BRU after 11 months.

However, all is not lost as the unit will enjoy a new life as The Birdhouse Bar and Kitchen, which is set to open on April 11.

A statement read: "Bru’s last day of trading will be April 7. Massive thanks to all our customers over the past few months who will already know of our plan for the rebrand.

"The Birdhouse Bar and Kitchen will arrive April 11 from 4pm, get booking now to try out the best the West End has to offer bruglasgow.com."
