Over 50 new homes will be built on a land freshly acquired by a company.

house builder Bancon Homes is planning to develop the housing scheme just off Glassford Road in the historic market town of Strathaven, South Lanarkshire.

This most recent purchase by the firm will deliver phase four of the site comprising 51 three, four and five-bedroom detached homes.

It will follow on from Queens Gate, their current phase of 54 new homes which has seen exceptional demand and is now over 50% sold.

The house builder will also make a contribution of £51,000 to South Lanarkshire Council and £400,000 towards the Strathaven Heritage Fund and Commuted Sums to fund affordable housing provision in the local area.

Bancon Homes will also deliver an outdoor community space, including equipped play and informal, recreational space, for the enjoyment of all local residents.
