RANGERS are reportedly monitoring the situation of Hibs striker Florian Kamberi with the Ibrox club eyeing a bargain deal.
The striker spent the second half of last season on-loan at the Light Blues before the season was curtailed early due to the coronavirus crisis.
It is understood that Hibs are now willing to let Kamberi leave Easter Road for a six figure sum as they aim to make some financial savings amid the Covid-19 pandemic.
The Edinburgh club yesterday confirmed they must make staff "cost reductions" due to an "unsustainable strain" on the club's finances caused by the virus.
Today the Daily Record report that Hull City have made an approach for Kamberi, but Hibs have knocked this back.
The Swiss frontman, 25, is set to return to training with Jack Ross' side next week, but it remains to be seen where his future lies.
Speaking yesterday on the potential cuts at Hibs, chairman Ron Gordon said: Hibs chief Ron Gordon said: "We must now focus our limited resources on our core business – and that is supporting our first team to deliver success on the pitch. That is what we are here to do.
"This scaling back will have an impact on our people, and we enter into a period of consultation with them to discuss the potential impact on them.
“I would like to thank the contribution and efforts of all of our staff during this difficult time.
“We will get through this by all working together. Supporters, staff, management and players have all played their part so far, and I believe will continue to do so.”
