An injury sustained by Scott McTominay has sparked further concerns for Scotland ahead of Euro 2024.

The Manchester United midfielder was forced off the field late in the game during Erik ten Hag's side's 1-1 draw with Burnley this afternoon.

It's believed the 27-year-old was clutching his knee as he went down on the pitch. He could be seen punching the ground in frustration.

He received medical attention before limping off with the assistance of the physios.

McTominay was a second-half substitute himself, with the decision to bring him on for youngster Kobbie Mainoo met with boos and jeers by the Old Trafford faithful.

With just seven weeks to go until the start of the European Championships, the fitness of McTominay is of the utmost priority for Steve Clarke and the nation.

There are already major concerns over the conditions of Aaron Hickey, Nathan Patterson, Lewis Ferguson, Kieran Tierney and Stuart Armstrong.

It is expected Ten Hag will provide an update on McTominay during his post-match media duties.
