The Renfrewshire Council propose to consider the introduction of the following Order in terms of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

(A8 Greenock Road, Barrangary Road, Bishopton - Renfrew) (Various Speed Limits) Order 201*"

Proposed speed limit reduction from the current National Speed Limit to 50mph, from the Red Smiddy Roundabout westbound to the approach to the New Commonside Roundabout and reduced to 40mph from the approach to Commonside Roundabout (westbound from the Red Smiddy Roundabout) to the existing 30mph restricted section on the A8 on the approach to Bishopton and to the 30mph restricted section on Barrangary Road from the Barrangary Roundabout. A 30mph limit will be placed on Barrangary Road from the extents of the 40mph limit to the midpoint between Bolerno Avenue and the Craigton Burn where they intersect with Barrangary Road as per layout as indicated on Plan in Schedule 1 to this Order. In the interests of road safety for all road users.

Full details of these proposals are available for inspection between the hours of 08.45 and 16.45, Monday to Thursday and 08.45 and 15.55, Friday, at the Customer Service Centre, Renfrewshire House, Cotton Street, Paisley, PA1 1AN (telephone enquiries 0300 300 0300); at Glenburn Library, Fairway Avenue, Paisley, PA2 8DX, during normal library opening hours and at Renfrewshire Leisure's Heritage Centre, Studio 907, Ground Floor, Mile End Mill, Abbey Mill Business Centre, 12 Seedhill Road, Paisley, PA1 1JS, between the hours of 09.00 and 17.00, Monday to Saturday. Closed from 12.00 hrs to 13.00 hrs on Saturday for lunch. Also available to view on the Tellme Scotland website ref (324).
