Council arrangements over the Easter period
COVID-19: During these exceptional times the Council's current arrangements for its services and support available over the Easter period are follows:
COVID-19 Community Helpline
A freephone helpline to help those in vulnerable groups access information, advice and guidance in relation to COVID-19 is open 9am to 5pm, 7 days a week. This helpline is local to Northern Ireland. It is managed by Advice Nl and links into local Health Trusts and Councils.

Household bin collections
At present, household bin collections will continue to operate as normal over the Easter period, however this may be subject to change at short notice. Please ensure your bin is left out by 7am on the day of collection and always wipe bin handles after bringing the bin to the kerbside and after collection.
Council offices, facilities and venues
In line with the Government's stay at home advice, all Council operated civic buildings, administration offices, leisure centres, community centres, theatres, visitor attractions and recycling centres are currently closed to the public.
Telephone lines
Council telephone lines - 0300 303 1777 - will be closed Monday 13 and Tuesday 14 April 2020. Telephone lines will reopen at 9am on Wednesday 15 April 2020.
Registration of Deaths
The Registration offices will be closed on Monday 13 and Tuesday 14 April 2020, however in an emergency please telephone 078 6734 1480. The Registration offices will reopen on Wednesday 15 April at 9.30am. Death registrations are currently being carried out without the need to attend the local registration offices. Bereaved relatives will be contacted by the Registrar or their Funeral Director.
