Actor Peter Mullan will star in the first TV adaptation of an Iain Banks novel since the acclaimed author died of cancer.
Mullan, also known for his roles in Sunshine on Leith and Trainspotting, is among the cast announced for a two-part dramatisation of Stonemouth, first published in 2012.
