MUSICAL maestro Nicola Benedetti helped youngsters with a unique music lesson.
The Scots violinist helped to open the world of classical music to kids by taking part in a live streaming session online.
The event, hosted by the BBC, saw Nicola join the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra in performing a series of classical pieces.
Around 10 Scottish primary schools joined the former BBC Young Musician of the Year during the lesson, which was streamed around the globe.
Thousands of youngsters throughout Scotland, the UK and the world watched the session and were encouraged to join in with the orchestra, during an interactive performance of Beethoven's 5th Symphony.
They learned about rhythm and pitch as they played along with the musician using percussion instruments.
