GLASGOW’S Kelvingrove bandstand will play host to a new Summer music festival later this month.
Del Amitri star Justin Currie will be among the performers at the Fox Star Community Arts Festival, taking place from Friday July 24 to Sunday July 26.
The free three-day event will feature music, spoken word, arts and crafts.
The events kicks off on Friday with Sing me a New Song, a night celebrating choral singing and will feature a performance by the Parsonage choir - fresh from their appearance on the main stage at T in the Park.
On Saturday and Sunday Justin Currie, The Starry Skies, Duglas T Stewart of BMX bandits and Attic Lights will be among the star attractions.
The event will also feature spoken word, visual art and children’s activities.
The bandstand will also be brought to life with the ‘colour of a hundred pictures’ to complement the wide range of performances on offer.
Organisers are encouraging the public to bring flowers from their garden to decorate the bandstand.
The event has been organised by Mecca Holding Co in partnership with Glasgow Life and the Building Preservation Trust as part of a range of Summer events.
