Hollywood star Tom Cruise has very good news for Top Gear fans.
The actor, 54, said that he would love to do another Top Gear film, 30 years after playing the fighter pilot.
And Tom told The Graham Norton Show: “We are discussing it.
“We are trying and if we can figure it out I’d love to do it.”
In January, producer Jerry Bruckheimer tweeted a photo of him and Tom chatting about the possibility of a sequel.
Fans have been desperate for a follow-up to the 1986 classic starring Tom and Kelly McGillis for years.
The original film’s director, Tony Scott, died in 2012.
Tom is in London promoting his new flick, Jack Reacher: Never Go Back.
His co-star Cobie Smulders said it wasn’t always easy keeping up with Tom in their new movie.
“There was so much running. I had broken my leg that summer and was only just off crutches a week before we started training so I was in the weakest possible shape of my adult life. Tom is the fastest human being in films and so fast, and I’m very competitive so wanted to at least keep pace,” she said.
“Tom would give me a hard time if I didn’t keep up and didn’t run perfectly.”
The Graham Norton Show is broadcast on BBC1 on Friday at 10.35pm.
