He set our screens on fire with Strictly Come Dancing, and this March he'll be setting our most famous stage alight as Firedance comes to town.

Much loved Latin dancer Gorka Marquez is pairing together for the first time with fellow dancer Karen Hauer for their latest Latin and flamenco special to tour globally.

The two will front a dance ensemble, performing Argentine Tango, Flamenco, Contemporary, Paso Doble, Samba and Salsa. What can we expect to see from Gorka, who has been besotted with dance since he was a child?

"I'll be playing the drums, obviously" laughed Gorka.

"No, I'm just kidding. Obviously i'm dancing, and myself and Karen are taking the main roles of the Latin story and taking front part in everything, including the roles with the Matador."

"I think it's going to be a fantastic show."

Bursting onto our screens with Strictly in 2016, Gorka has come to be a staple of the show. He says that he owes more than a job title to the show.

"I always thought in the UK there is a lot of love for musical theatre and dancing - they have always been popular.

"Thanks to Strictly, ballroom dancing is so much more popular. For us professional dancers, I think that the show is something to be grateful for because they've made our jobs more than just about the dancing."

Celebrating art thorough dance is something that Gorka says keeps him going.

"When I was younger I loved dancing because it was my dream, and it was what I wanted to do, and be a part of. It was my dream. Now, I love it because I'm grateful that it's my job because it is still my passion."

Luckily for us, that passion will be bursting into Glasgow shortly. Gorka says that he is quite looking forward to it.

"I can't wait to come to Glasgow. I love visiting the city". I normally go to END. clothing, I love that shop. I go to Princes Square too, it's so nice there, and the Corinthian, we love to go there because we know that its good. I can't wait."
