The Glasgow Film festival continues its series of exciting events today, including two red carpet premieres which will see Simon Pegg and Bill Paterson in Glasgow. 

The UK Premiere of Lost Transmissions with stars Simon Pegg and director Katherine O'Brien starts at 8.30pm. 

Viewers will have the chance to join in on a Q&A with the English comedy star Pegg and director O'Brien after the screening.

Lost Transmissions explores the relationship between aspiring songwriter Hannah (Juno Temple) and music producer Theo (Simon Pegg) and how mental health is treated in the United States. 

The world premiere of a new romantic comedy Love Sarah, starring Scottish actor Bill Paterson and Celia Imrie starts at 6pm this Saturday. 

Director of the film Eliza Schroeder will also attend the event, as well as Bake Off winner Candice Brown who cameos in the film. 

The film promises a bighearted drama centered around delicious cakes as Sarah's loved ones come together to fulfill her dream of opening an artisan bakery. 

The premieres will both take place at the Glasgow Film Theatre (GFT).

Dozens of screenings are taking place across Glasgow today and plenty still have tickets available. 

A special screening will take place at the Argyle Street Arches at 7.30pm of Tank Girl which is set a desolate future in 2033.

Other available screenings include Toni Morrison: The Pieces I Am, a documentary paying a touching tribute to the visionary writer at 3.30pm at the GFT, and a screening of Gutterbee at 5.45 in the CCA which is followed by a Q&A with director Ulrich Thomsen.
