Still Game and Two Doors Down stars will team up for a special new one-off show.

Ford Kiernan and Greg Hemphill will be part of a 'dream team' of comedians - including Two Doors Down's Jonathan Watson and Grado - appearing in The All-Star Euros Sketch Show.

The special programme, airing on BBC Scotland and iPlayer, will involve sketches mixing familiar audience favourites alongside brand-new characters to get viewers excited for the Euros 2024 this summer.

Hemphill will write and perform brand-new sketch material, while Kiernan also showcases a new character.

Watson said: “A privilege to be asked to contribute to the programme. Especially when I get to join forces with my old mucker from Two Doors Down... Grado. Hope the viewers enjoy our contribution. Come on Scotland!”

Hemphill added: “Look forward to this Euros comedy star special the same way you’re looking forward to the actual Euros…expect the unexpected and get ready to belly laugh!”

The sketch will also see The Chief (Jack Docherty) plan his ambassadorial trip to Deutschland, and viewers will enjoy extra Euros action featuring key Scot Squad regulars and a Euros-inspired scene from The Scotts.

After 20 years, Almost Angelic steps back up to the mic and keyboard with Karen Dunbar and Tom Urie reprising their singing partnership and belting out football-inspired tunes.

Dunbar said: “Words canny describe how happy I am that Almost Angelic are part of the Euro Show. To be part of the support for oor country’s team is a huge honour and I wish them all the luck in the world in the competition!”

Meanwhile, radio presenter Des Clarke will be leading Breaking the Euros, a special look at the tournament which will collide the worlds of comedy and sport to discuss all things Germany.

Breaking the News regulars Jay Lafferty, Ray Bradshaw and Athena Kugblenu will be joined by Off The Ball stars Stuart Cosgrove and Tam Cowan and the host of the smash hit football podcast Sacked in The Morning, Amy Irons.

The programme will be shown on the BBC Scotland channel (date TBC) and BBC Radio Scotland on Friday, June 7 with a bonus material edition, Breaking the Euros Extra, airing on Friday, June 14 on the station.

Des Clarke said: “I am absolutely buzzing to be part of the BBC Scotland squad for this year's Euros.

"It promises to be a legendary summer of Scottish sport and the award-winning team behind Breaking The News are ready to score with some massive laughs.

“As a lifelong Scotland fan, hosting Breaking The Euros is a dream come true - as it’s probably the closest I’ll ever get to playing for Scotland at a major tournament.

“We’ve called up a galaxy of comedy and sports talent to take part in the ultimate panel show where there can only be one winner. It’s safe to say, this (un)sporting contest is definitely going to kick off! Come on Scotland!”

Completing the star-studded line-up of Euros entertainment is Late Night at the Euros with Compston & Smart, where Line of Duty star Martin Compston and his friend Gordon Smart will present nine episodes featuring ‘fans, football and famous faces’.
