GLASGOW was given a "reel" boost as the city welcomed hundreds of dancers from around the world for the All Scotland Irish Dance Championships.
It's the fourth time Glasgow has hosted the championships, which kicked off on Friday at the Royal Concert Hall.
Almost 2000 competitors from countries including Ireland, France, Russia, South Africa, Australia, Canada and the USA took part.
The under-16 award was yesterday won by 15-year-old Shannon Bradley, from Belfast.
As reported by the Evening Times, marketing bosses believe more than £1m will have been spent in the city during the event.
