AS our photographers begin this year's search for Glasgow's top Times Tot at the St Enoch Centre, we look back to 1978 before the mall was even built.
Before the massive shopping centre was dominating St Enoch Square, it was home to a large hotel and a great deal of parking. The cars were all parked on the site of the old St Enoch Church.
By the late 1970s, a major modernisation of the city's Subway system was also under way, and the awesome engineering challenge this represented can be seen clearly in the square.
The distinctive turretted ticket office has survived as a travel centre, although it looks a little precarious in this shot!
You can now watch the world go by and sit outside the former ticket office in the Square and enjoy a cup of coffee.
