WITH the office Christmas party season now in full swing, readers are warned to keep their eyes peeled for examples of 'dad dancing', bad festive pullovers and over-amorous, red-nosed men in skew-wiff Santa hats.
While city publicans rub their hands with glee at the annual influx of seasonal, amateur drinkers, regular pub-goers will be pulling their hair out as their favourite haunts are over-run with gaggles of giggling and screaming 'girls'.
Bar staff too face a challenge, as invariably one poor soul will be sent to the bar with a drinks list as long as their arm, and then order each drink individually instead of totting up who wants what and 'batch' ordering.
These revellers, photographed at the Burnbrae Hotel in Milngavie in 1969, certainly seemed to be enjoying their night out.
