There is a certain amount of dread that comes with a summer holiday.
I faced this annual dread before heading to Ibiza at the end of July.
Hair, eyebrows and lashes were on the top of my to-do list but just two weeks before, I heard the mention of a wax.
Thrown into a state of panic, I trawled the internet trying to find somewhere to fit me in at short notice. Luckily Revival Retreat, on Byres Road in Glasgow's West End, were more than happy to oblige.

As a beginner to the world of waxing, the beauty guru eased me in with a standard bikini line and tidy-up.
Although not the most pleasant of experiences, the therapist talked me through the whole thing making me feel comfortable in the most uncomfortable of scenarios.
The results were a lot better than expected with absolutely no odd side effects or irritation.
Being able to enjoy a holiday without having the added stress of worrying about stray hairs made every bit of pain worth it.

And, after years of shaving, I might now be a waxing convert. Apologies in advance to my bank account.
