RISING stars of the wrestling word put on a show of strength at Alexandra Park at the weekend as part of a free family fun day organised by Platform in Easterhouse.
Marlene Finnigan, 74, who lives in the East End of the city, got a real ‘lift’ from the event thanks to the wrestlers from Iron Girders Gym in the Gallowgate.
There was a great turnout, and a varied mix of stalls, entertainment, rides and art activities, plus face painting and balloon modelling.
Platform’s second summer festival of the month takes place at The Bridge on July 29.
