A chef at a Glasgow restaurant has revealed that Ange Postecoglou was a regular visitor for breakfast.

The team at Eusebi Deli in the West End were used to serving the former Celtic boss when he was living in the city and say he tended to order the same item every time.

Chef Sebastian told all to Go Radio presenters Crofty and Grado on the latest episode of their food podcast, Rate the Plate.

Crofty said: "The great and the goods eat here; even just coming in we passed Colin McCredie.

Grado added: "Big, big star from Taggart."

Sebastian replied: "Yeah, we get a few A-listers. The football crowd are the folk that feature regularly, big Ange was a frequent [visitor].

When asked what his order was, Sebastian replied: "Breakfast: roll on bacon, fried egg."

The podcast celebrates some of Glasgow's most loved eating places, and the duo have already visited Buck's Bar and Murphy's Pakora Bar.

In partnership with Glasgow Taxis, vegan Crofty samples meat-free options while Grado tries "everything else" and their driver, Dougie McPherson, has the deciding vote on which is better.

Go Radio Chief Executive Tracey McNellan said: “We’re absolutely thrilled that so many people have decided to download our new podcast.

"Glasgow and the West have an amazing restaurant scene so Crofty and Grado teaming up with Glasgow Taxis was a match made in heaven.

"I’m sure listeners will enjoy Rate The Plate as much as Crofty and Grado enjoyed sampling the delicious food at all the great restaurants involved.”

Dougie added: "Glasgow Taxis is very proud to support Go Radio's new Rate the Plate podcast, which brings together a number of our favourite things - the businesses behind the Glasgow hospitality industry, the finest of foods and unrivalled west of Scotland patter."
