The Glasgow Times is on the hunt for the best takeaway lunch spot in the city. We are looking for your recommendations across the city centre, North Glasgow, East End, Southside and West End, and will be judging food based on Value for Money, Taste, Atmosphere, Service and Variety.

This week it is my turn to continue our hunt for the best lunch in the city.

I had a look at all the places we visited so far on our journey (and so can you, here) and realised that we haven't tried any tacos yet.

So, I took it upon myself to find a place and my choice landed on the beloved Sacred Tum Tacos, right by Queens Park.

Victoria Road is filled with excellent food choices but this place emerges from the crowd with its bright orange shopfront and a whooping 4.5-star rating on Google.

There is no sit-in option, so I walked up to the window and placed my order, two of the tacos de pollo (grilled spiced chicken).

In less than three minutes, I was handed the warm food container, with my lunch in it.

For two tacos, I paid £7 and just like that, I was on my way back to eat.

Upon arrival back to the office, I opened the box and, I have to say, I was a little disappointed at the size of the tacos.

Regardless, they were absolutely delicious ad the spiced chicken and red onion chicken combines with the soft shell and the dill crema on.

My only complaint would be that, by the time I arrived, the taco shells completely soaked through and all the contents spilled out, creating more of a bowl of chicken with pieces of bread, rather than a taco.

Impossible to hold, I had to use a knife and fork to eat it, which, I didn't mind, since I was sitting at a table in a kitchen, but for someone walking down the street, this would not be an easy meal to consume.

I usually prefer soft-shell tacos, but it seems like there is such a thing as too soft.

Overall, I would describe this lunch experience as delicious but messy and I think in the future, I will maybe stick with crunchy shells.

What's the verdict?

Value for Money: 2/5 – I got two tacos for £7, three tacos cost £10. Not bad for a once-in-a-month treat but definitely not an everyday option.

Taste: 5/5 – Delicious, the flavours complement each other very well.

Atmosphere: 2/5 – I am not a fan of this setup, where you have to speak with staff through a small window and wait on the street. Also, there are no tables on the pavement either.

Service: 5/5 – Very friendly service! The serves specifically recommended the dill crema on when I mentioned I don't like spicy food.

Variety: 3/5 – They serve tacos and burritos with a few complimentary sides.

Overall score: 17/25
