A free family festival is set to return to Glasgow's Riverside Museum.
On Saturday and Sunday, September 2 and 3, guests will be able to enjoy the Clydebuilt Festival, celebrating the city’s maritime heritage.
On Saturday, festival go-ers will spectate ‘Castle to Crane’, Scotland’s biggest open water rowing race, where more than 80 boats race from the historic Dumbarton Castle to the iconic Finnieston Crane.
Teams from around the globe travel to be first at the finish line, winning the Meridian Cup.
Then, on Sunday, Glasgow teams will battle it out to become the Dragon Boat Racing Champion and win the coveted Clydebuilt Dragon Trophy.
Based on ancient Chinese customs, this adrenalin-pumping sport is highly addictive. Teams of up to 10 paddles, plus one drummer race in traditional boats.
On shore, the programme features something for everyone with outdoor survival skills, traditional crafts, building techniques or on-land rowing, as well as the Clydebuilt Market, food, music and arts and crafts.
Festival coordinator, Jess Bruce, said: “We're really excited to be back.
“We've put together a fantastic lineup of local music, makers, and activities to make this the best year yet. No tickets needed, so pop down and get involved”.
