A community convenience shop has been forced to close due to "tough trading conditions".
Scotmid Co-op on South Mains Road in Milngavie will permanently shut its doors on Saturday, August 26.
Bosses of the firm have said they are "exploring relocation options" for the seven members of staff at the shop but job security has not yet been confirmed.
Gavin Randell, head of retail operations at Scotmid, said: "After a prolonged period of tough trading, we have reached the difficult decision to close our Milngavie store on August 26, 2023.
"Our priority is the wellbeing of our colleagues directly impacted by this change.
"As we transition into the consultation phase, we are proactively exploring relocation options for them and ensuring that they remain consistently supported throughout this difficult time."
