Pop icon Michelle McManus has revealed she will join Loose Women Live as a "special guest".

The Pop Idol winner will join the award-winning panellists at the Royal Concert Hall in Glasgow when they visit the city next month.

McManus will appear alongside Kaye Adams, Linda Robson, Brenda Edwards and Denise Welch as they let loose on their first-ever tour.

At the show on September 9, Glaswegians will be treated to an evening of laughter and never-before-heard stories as the women look back over the past 24 years of fun and friendship on the show.

Glasgow Times:

It's been two decades since McManus won the second series of ITV's Pop Idol. Since then, she has become a familiar face on Scottish TV as a presenter of BBC Scotland's afternoon show and a regular co-host of BBC Radio 4's Loose Ends.

Fans will remember her appearance as a guest panellist on Loose Women in 2018.

Loose Women Live is presented by Cuffe and Taylor (Live Nation) and Lambert Jackson in partnership with ITV.

Ben Hatton, director of theatre touring for Cuffe and Taylor, said: “We’re delighted to have Michelle joining the Loose Women Live in Glasgow!

"She will be a great special guest alongside the Loose Women panellists and fellow Scot Kaye Adams, Linda Robson, Brenda Edwards and Denise Welch.

"Having a live audience is such an important part of Loose Women and we can’t wait to bring the show to the viewers live and in-person, across 16 different venues, for the first time.”

Jamie Lambert, Lambert Jackson CEO, added: “I am very excited that we are able to take this much-loved show on the road this autumn with Loose Women Live and can’t wait to see the brilliant panellists in action on stage!”
