A bustling shopping centre in Glasgow is set to welcome four new restaurants.

St Enoch Centre revealed on Friday (September 8) that a shake up of its foodie offering will see several new venues opening up over the coming months, including the highly anticipated arrival of Wingstop and wagamama.

Wingstop, the famous American chain linked to legendary rapper Rick Ross, has signed a 15 year lease to take over a 3,175 sq ft unit on the first floor near the Vue cinema.

It will be the first physical Wingstop restaurant in Glasgow and the 35th UK location for the brand.

Pan-asian chain wagamama has also signed a 15 year lease to occupy a 4,435 sq ft restaurant on the first floor.

Known for its Japanese-inspired dishes and 'Kaizen' service, foodies will soon be able to nosh on the firm's renowned dishes at St Enoch Centre.

Yayas, which serves up German doners, beef burgers, and peri peri chicken, will open on the first floor this month.

Salt and Pepper Station, which serves Asian dishes like Chow Mein and Peking Duck, will open in St Enoch Square.

We previously reported that Starbucks had relocated to a larger unit in the shopping centre in August following a boom in popularity.

Anne Ledgerwood, St. Enoch Centre director, said of the new openings: “This flurry of new signings is a testament to a successful first half of 2023 which has seen St. Enoch Centre attract significant footfall growth of over 14%, defying expectations for the high street.

“We are thrilled to be welcoming four new eateries to St. Enoch Centre to further diversify the array of cuisines on offer to ensure there truly is something for everyone.

“The new restaurant openings and the expansion of Starbucks will generate new jobs and increase footfall to the centre, strengthening and rejuvenating Glasgow city centre.”
