IT is one of the trickiest trends to nail ... but now is the time to try the crop top.
Although you might feel the crop top is for younger generations, the garment has been given a grown up twist.
And the best thing is you don't even have to bare your stomach.
The new crop top is about teaming a shorter length top with a high waist skirt or pair of trousers.
The high street has tons of crop tops on its rails.
From cute long-sleeved furry knits and boxy T-shirts to summer-worthy sleeveless tops, there is a crop to suit everyone. To really take the look into spring/summer 2014 territory match your top to your bottom.
Go for striking prints or pick the same colour theme for both separates.
This trend was seen across catwalks, including at the spring Lacoste show, and bloggers are still championing this look.
However, for a timeless take on the trend, we love the crop top and full skirt look. It will work for summer-in-the-city as well as for city holiday breaks.
So forget hitting the gym and banish all thoughts of sit-ups - just hit the shops instead.
