AN exclusive women's lingerie brand is opening its first Scottish outlet in Glasgow tomorrow.
In a major boost to the city's image as a top place to shop, Agent Provocateur - where knickers sell for around £40 and a bra £75 - is launching a store in Ingram Street.
The firm, which also stocks hosiery, perfume, swimwear and beauty products, has 31 outlets worldwide including Harrods and Selfridges in London, Bloomingdales in New York, Printemps in Paris and Melrose Avenue, Los Angeles.
The company recently signed actress Maggie Gyllenhaal as the face of the brand. She will replace previous model Kate Moss.
Staff wear a pink housecoat-style uniform, designed by British fashion icon Vivienne Westwood, Company owner Serena Rees said: "We've been dying to open in Scotland for a long time now, but we've only just found the right location. We are all really excited."
The new shop is next to exclusive handbag store Mulberry.
Lesley Sawers, chief executive of Glasgow Chamber of Commerce, said the store was "a welcome addition to the growing luxury brand appeal of Ingram Street".
