AN East End football team has beaten off 400 other clubs to win a top trophy - for the fifth time.
The success of Finnart AFC is due in no small part to its manager Phil Blair who helped set up the team 28 years ago.
During that time he has devoted every spare second to his hobby which now has 70 members.
And yet again Phil has had the pleasure of watching his side win the Sunday Scottish Amateur Cup.
It's the club's fifth win in the cup since 1988 and as well as the senior team Finnart now also has two junior sides.
The under-18s won two cups last year and have won another this year as has the under-12s.
Phil said: "Five of us started the team 28 years ago and it takes up all my time - or so my wife Catherine would say.
"However she is used to it and comes to watch us play sometimes."
