A local authority has backed a business plan to keep public services in-house over the next three years.
Initially, the East Renfrewshire Council coalition, led by Labour, SNP, Independents and Lib Dems had approved the plans.
But the proposal was questioned by leaders of the Conservatives which resulted in it being put under the microscope.
The audit committee quizzed chief executive David Dippie on services including construction, catering, cleaning and road maintenance.
Councillor Jim Swift, said: "The committee has taken time to examine the business plans and we are satisfied. We will monitor the performance of these services over the coming months."
