GONE-but-not-forgotten ex-Glasgow Warriors prop Stuart Corsar is rewarding those who kept tabs on him.
The 25-year-old's presence with the Scotland A squad at the IRB Nations Cup is a valuable reminder that in a country with meagre rugby resources, no dedicated professionals can be discarded.
He was allowed to leave the Warriors two years ago after failing to break into the first team in his injury-ravaged stay.
However, he remained determined to stay in professional rugby and has revived his appetite for the game with a spell at England National League One side Rotherham.
Loosehead prop Corsar - who came off the bench against Russia on Friday and starts against Uruguay today - was called into the A team for last year's Churchill Cup.
"Playing there showed me I still have to get better," he said.
"It was quite hard with Rotherham being part-time, but after I came back from the Churchill Cup I got a bit fitter and stronger."
