AN armed robber dressed as a painter to steal more than £1000 from a bank.
The suspect held up the Royal Bank of Scotland on Ayr Street, Troon, around 9.30am last Thursday.
He spoke with a foreign accent and was dressed in a dark boiler suit carrying a paint tray and pot.
The man was aged around 30 to 40 and wore metal-framed glasses and a bag across his body.
He threatened staff at the bank with what appeared to be a gun and demanded money before making off with a four-figure sum.
