A LINE-UP of top comediennes is to star in a one-off show at a Glasgow night spot.
The Funny Women tour, being staged at Oran Mor in Byres Road, will be one of the highlights of this month's Glasgow Comedy festival.
The performance on March 13 will showcase the talents of established female comics and top competitors from the last five years of Funny Women awards.
Among those taking part will be leading international comedienne Shazia Mirza, Glasgow-based author AL Kennedy, Dublin comic Sharon Mannion, River City star and stand-up comedienne Frances Healy and rising Scottish comedy star Susan Calman.
The next day would-be comics get a chance to take part in a Funny Women Comedy Workshop at the same venue.
Funny Women attracts nearly 200 women a year and a spokeswoman said many find entering a very daunting prospect.
