CELEBRITIES have revealed what they would save from their home if it was hit by fire in an attempt to make more people aware of the dangers of a blaze breaking out in their property.
Singers K T Tunstall, Biffy Clyro's James Johnston, Sandi Thom, DJ Heather Suttie and actor Atta Yaqub are backing a drive to encourage Scots to fit and test smoke alarms.
More than 15,000 fire safety advice packs will be sent to new home owners across the country as part of a campaign launched today by the Scottish Fire Service.
A survey revealed only three out of every 20 in Scotland check their smoke alarms weekly - the frequency recommended by the fire and rescue service.
Around one in 10 people claim to never test their alarm.
KT Tunstall said: "If my house was to go up in flames, the one thing I would grab would be my Gretsch White Falcon guitar. It was made the same year I was born, 1975."
Heather Suttie said she would save her Weimaraner dog Charlee and her fish Felix and Frida, while Atta Yaqub would grab the collection of football trophies, shields and medals he has won over the last 20 years.
