WILLO FLOOD can't wait for the World Cup break to end so he can resume his push to win back his place in the Celtic side.

The Irish midfielder has been left kicking his heels while many of his international team-mates have been representing their countries.

Now the man who joined from Dundee United in January is targeting the Hamilton game at home on Saturday and said: "I knew the club was massive before I came here, but once you actually join, you see just how big it really is.

"The manager is great, he is really hands-on and all of the lads here have a lot of respect for him.

"He's not just a great manager, he's a great coach as well and he is there every day working with you.

"Not many managers do that, only a certain few and I like that he takes the time to work with us individually and tries to teach us something new.

"I've really enjoyed working with him and hopefully I can continue to keep learning from him.

"The fact the manager has also given me some praise since I came here has given me confidence as well, because when you come here you have a few little doubts in the back of your mind.

"The fact that he gave me a starting place in the game against Rangers just a few days after I joined gave me the biggest confidence boost I could ever have hoped for and hopefully I can kick on from there.

"But I also realise that if the lads keep doing well and are winning games, I might have to wait and bide my time for my chance."
