A GLASGOW poop group' could scoop an environmental award for staging a dog show with a difference.
Volunteers from the Greater Govan Environment Trust came up with a novel way to keep city streets free of dog mess as part of last year's CSV Make A Difference Day.
The team is now in the running for a Community Service Volunteers award for its efforts.
Instead of threats of fines, the group organised a dog show as a way of urging owners to be responsible, and prizes were obtained from local businesses.
The group is nominated for the Most Ground Breaking award, and the winner will be announced at a ceremony in London on February 1.
The awards will be presented by celebrities including Pete Waterman, Charlie Dimmock and Esther Rantzen.
