A major programme of improvements is underway to rebuild crumbling sections of the sewer network on the South Side of Glasgow.
Scottish Water has started replacing 107 metres of sewer in the Curtis Avenue area of King's Park.
And a second scheme is to start this month to try to prevent flooding in Tantallon Road, Shawlands.
The company said £100,000 is being invested and the projects are designed to bring relief to properties which are currently at risk of flooding.
Project manager Graham Wood said: "We will have to remove a tree in the gardens of Curtis Avenue whose roots are restricting the sewer's flow and we are also replacing existing sewers.
"The old sewer is in poor condition and has been causing some flooding.
"We hope these new projects will not cause any significant disruption to traffic and will do everything in our power to minimise inconvenience."
A spokeswoman for Scottish water said both schemes are expected to be complete by the end of this month.
