A PLUCKY Scotswoman is bracing herself for a charity swim across Cook Straight in the shark-infested waters off New Zealand.
Jane McCormick, 25, daughter of cartoonist Malky, will cross the 19-mile stretch of sea to raise cash for Epilepsy Action.
The Ayrshire woman is backing the charity as brother Sean developed the condition after an attack four years ago which left him brain damaged.
The fashion student, who also suffers from the condition, flies out next Tuesday to prepare for the swim.
She said: "The conditions are difficult but until a shark starts chewing my leg I won't be worried."
