MODEL Arlene Knox strikes a pose at the launch of the first Glasgow Fashion Week.
The four-day event, which starts on Wednesday March 28, will feature award-winning Glasgow designers and up-and-coming talent, as well as more than 40 catwalk shows from some of the high street's biggest names.
Headlining the event are young designers Aimee McWilliams - Scottish Designer of the Year last year - and Scottish Textile Designer of the Year Jennifer Lang.
Glasgow lingerie brand Ultimo will also stage a catwalk show, while other names include Topshop, Jaeger, New Look, Debenhams, All Saints, Diesel and Quiz.
Organisers say Glasgow Fashion Week aims to promote young designers who are Scottish or were educated in Scotland.
It will have a strong focus on emerging talent, such as Glasgow label Mainey Laing, created by designers Hilary Laing and Amy Currie.
There will be no big international names at the event, which will include two labels from Holland - Daryl Van Wouw and lingerie specialists Der Kommissar.
Creative director Lauren Currie said: "We are not trying to compete with international fashion shows such as Paris or Milan. It's about showcasing what Glasgow has to offer."
