DUNDEE UNITED boss Craig Levein is facing an injury crisis ahead of tomorrow's trip to Ibrox. The rampant Arabs ran over the top of a hapless Hearts side - who were reduced to eight men - with a 4-1 win on Wednesday, but paid a high price for their three-point haul.

Lee Wilkie picked up a hamstring injury and polish goalkeeper Grzegorz Szamotulski kicked the ground by accident and has strained his ankle. On-loan Cardiff winger Willo Flood has also been sent for treatment after suffering a dead leg.

Levein groaned: "Lee is struggling just now, but things can change quite quickly. The close proximity of the games means the players have much less time to recover. Willo has a dead leg, while Szamo's ankle is still bothering him.

"It's a concern because going to Ibrox is always tough and we need our best players available."

But Levein was hugely encouraged by Danny Grainger's debut display against the imploding Jambos.

Levein said: "The most important performance was Danny Grainger's because we were really struggling with players playing out of position.

"When you move one player, you have to move another. The dynamics of the team are affected. We looked a lot more solid and Danny brought us that.

"We kept our discipline and tried to pass the ball against Hearts and we didn't get involved in any of the tousy stuff that went on.

"We played the game in the correct manner. I have been critical myself of our discipline this season."
